Crawford Lake

This morning Grandma Gale arrived at 10am.  Mommy and Declan got ready and packed up for an outing.  The three of us headed over to Crawford Lake conservation area for the day.  Arrived about 11am we got Declan settled into his stroller and went about our way walking around the area a bit before heading along the Crawford Lake boardwalk trail.  I believe the boardwalk is almost 1 and 1/2 km long so we took our time and stopped often to take in the view and so it was about a 40 minute stroll. Along the trail, which is raised pretty high off the ground at sections, Declan kicked off his shoes and I just happened to notice as it was rolling towards the edge of the boardwalk and I saved it in time.  I wouldn't have been able to get it back if it had fallen.  Whew! So I took the other shoe off and tucked both safely inside his diaper bag...and hoped Declan wouldn't get the idea to toss Monkey out of his stroller.

Then we headed back towards the car and set up at a picnic table so that we could all have our lunches.  When we were headed towards the parking lot and out of the woods little Declan was chatting away.  No idea what he was trying to say but I hope he was happy about the views and strolling through the rocks and trees.  Grandma Gale shared some of her fruit cup juice with the little muffin man and Mommy let Declan try a little vanilla pudding.  He really liked the pudding but only for about 4 spoonfuls - then he was done - mouth closed.

After lunches we headed back home and little Declan waited patiently for his Daddy to get home from work at 3:30pm.  Then the boys hung out for a couple hours.

About 7:30pm Auntie T came downstairs and stole Declan away for a 1/2 hour to visit with her and Uncle Scott.  When I went upstairs to get Declan for his 8pm Skype Date with Grandma M I found him happily sitting on Uncle Scotts lap....eating an animal cracker.  I tell ya, he's always getting up to know good with his Aunt and Uncle.  Troulbe Makers.  Uncle Scott was holding him while his cousin Madison took pictures and his Auntie T was on choke watch.  He liked his cookie and there were no problems.  Actually he smelled cookie sweet when we got him back which wasn't half bad.

Just after 8pm the little guy's skype date began and he was quite the entertainer.  Through most of the video call he was clocking me in the head with his toy.  Then I turned on him and the tickles started.  Declan was laughing and squealing.  He must have gotten really tired out because when we put him down to sleep at 9pm he went from bright eyes and wide awake to deep slumberland in no time at all.
