8 Months

Little Declan is officially 8 Months old today.  Crazy how big he's gotten.  He's really demonstrating a personality and individualism.  Was in Carter's today and saw newborn clothes and it's sad that he's so much bigger now.  But also amazing.

Early in the evening Declan was sitting on the floor with his toys when Daddy squeezed his Sophie giraffe and it made a weird sound.  Declan stopped playing with the toys in front of him, leaned over to grab the Sophie giraffe and chucked it.  Then went back to playing with his toys again.  What a nut!

This morning Declan was holding onto a ball with a spinning dog image in the centre.  He was holding the ball in his right hand and looking at the dog image moving.  When it stopped he turned the ball a bit until it made it spin again.  Then when it stopped again he passed it over to his left hand and watched it spin some more.  It was amazing watching him learning about cause and effect.  Now if he could just learn that when he leans too far he falls over, that would be great.
