Treat Day

Today we lowered the matress on Declan's crib in anticipation of the little man sitting up on his own.  Then in keeping with the old 'safety' theme we plugged all of the unused outlets with plastic safety plugs.  And then, just because I rearranged his room so it was a bit more suitable for play.  We wanted to make sure there wouldn't be too much to change once Declan starts crawling and/or walking.  Ok that's still a while away but no reason not to start preparing now.

Later in the day our little guy was introduced to two treats.  First Declan popped upstairs for a quick hello to Grandpa Gale, Autie T, Madison and Josh and even though it was just a short pop in there was time for his first Cheesie.  Yummy.  Auntie T gave one to Declan and he simply held it in his hand.  Then after some assistance from his Aunt cheesie made it to mouth and a first tasting.  Sort of a weird face but then it was love....and wet mushy, pieces of cheesie everywhere.  So gross.  He really liked it though and it was fun watching him discovering it and working to get it out of his clamped palm.

And finally this evening Daddy gave Declan another treat, a taste of grape koolaide.  Again, yum.  Declan seemed to enjoy the new flavour.  A couple tastes before Daddy finished it up.  Lucky little man.
