This morning Declan woke at 7am for his bottle and Daddy didn't have to leave work until 7:15am so he was still here. I got Declan out of bed and brought him into our room for his bottle and I tried to keep him sleepy and unaware that Daddy was there but no luck, he could see him. Kept moving his head around trying to spy him. Daddy loved it. Watching his little guy looking over one of my shoulders and then the other to get a glimpse of him. Lucky for me he was still very sleepy so after the bottle was done he still went right back to bed until just after 9am.
After moving things around in Declan's room yesterday the area where his change table is, is sitting under a bright light. Nice because we have lots of light in the area where he gets changed...funny as all hell because of what happens each time we're done. In fact, Daddy says it's his new favourite thing. When we are all done changing Declan just before we pick him up we turn off the light. This means that all the sudden Declan's eyes get huge and sortof cross eyed. It makes us laugh everytime. Poor little guy. We don't want to give him a complex so we'll have to try not to laugh everytime but if you could only see it...it's hilarious.
Declan was such a sweetie and cuddler this evening so we were able to watch a movie while he relaxed. What eneded up happening was that the little man fell asleep on Daddy. Since he was right asleep we kept him with us until the movie ended and then carried him off to his crib. Extra special day for Daddy and Declan.
