Night of Play and Giggles

First of all, how is it that I forgot to mention this yesterday but when we were hanging outside with Grandma and Grandpa yesterday Daddy gave little Declan his very first taste of beer.  The verdict: he liked it a whole lot.  Mommy said she was surprised since Beer is really an aquired taste to which Grandpa responded "He's aquired it1".  The little man, making Daddy proud.

All the fresh air and pool time yesterday must have worn a kid out because Declan didn't get up until 7am for his bottle and then went right back to sleep until 9:40am.  Then again at 11:30pm Declan went down for an almost 2 hour nap.  Nice.  The three of us headed out for some quick errands and then got home to give Declan a nice bath.  All cleaned up and relaxed he took yet another nap for 45 minutes.  He got up in time for dinner and then he headed upstairs for 5:15pm to spend the night with his Auntie T, Uncle Scott, cousins Madison and Josh.  Mommy and Daddy went out to see friends for a birthday celebration.

Well it would seem that it was a night just full of playtime and lots of laughter.  Maybe Declan wasn't so tired from the fresh air and water yesterday, maybe he was just saving up play energy because he didn't sleep at all while he hung out with his family.  Giggles for Auntie T, lots of peek-a-boo with Uncle Scott, Josh loved Declan's little toys and Madison, lucky Madison got to change a poopy diaper.  Lucky.

Since Mommy and Daddy were getting home from their night out by 9:20pm and Declan usually goes to bed at 9pm we told Auntie T it was ok just to keep him up and we'd put him down when we got in.  It turned out that his internal clock was working well because by 9:03pm and had gone from wide away all night to passed out cold on Auntie T's lap.  And by out cold I mean that when we got home and saw him you could lift a leg and watch it drop right down hard.

Well he had a terrifc night and I'm so glad he had the quality time with them all.  Maybe tomorrow Declan will tell me all about his evening.
