My what a big day for Declan.

We started off with a happy little man waking up but breakfast was interesting. Declan was sitting in his Bumbo on the floor ready for breakfast but he decided not to cooperate. He continually kept thrusting his pelvis forward in an attempt to get out and was screaming. I simply wanted the little man to eat his breakfast. So here was the battle of wills. I had to tell Declan "Stop" very firmly which he listened to, for about a minute then he returned to his behavior. Declan reached for his cereal and got it all over his hand which I had to wipe off then he kept waving frantically so I grapes each hand and held them on his tray and calmly said "shhhhhh" in order to calm him down which worked pretty good. I also told Declan that I know he's stubborn but who did he think he got that from. I am just as stubborn if not more. Declan finished all of his cereal and was rescued from the Bumbo. Good news, we made up immediately.

Late afternoon we all headed off to Ivor Wynne Stadium for the family photo shoot. Declan was amazing! He is a natural. There were only a few short moments of tears but otherwise he was happy, smiling and talking away. There were a few family shots where he didn't stop talking so we couldn't help but all break into laughter. So cooperative, I'm very pleased with his temperament.

And finally tonight my little guy couldn't stop standing. I was even able to let go of him briefly before his little baby legs would buckle. It is crazy how they go so quickly from no real interest in something to excitement over something new. So maybe he'll just skip crawling then.
