As promised it was a trip to Toys-R-us today so he could pick out a new toy. He knew it was up to him to big but that it would need to fit in the budget and couldn't be too expensive. It was great watching him looking at different toys but not selecting them, waiting for that something special. We saw all the Star Wars Lego but he said he didn't want any. As we neared the isle with the Imaginex logo he shouted "Imaginex!" before heading down the isle. The moment he saw the Tony Stark/Iron Man play set he grabbed it from the shelf and said "this is the toy!"
We walked the entire store but he didn't want anything other than the selected toy which was easy. His excitement was so genuine. He kept saying "ok let's go to the cash" and then yelled my favourite "this is my poop toy!!"
Declan then used two leftover gift cards to pick up some Trash Packs. Pretty nice haul for the Muffin Man today.
